An amphitheatric area that expands under the pine forest of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) and is concluded at the small port with the trawlers, boats and taverns.
The statue of the “Mikrasiatissa mana”, a monument in memory of the emigrants, as well as the temple of Agia Marina, are located at the village's port, whilst on the public square the monument of “Panais o Koutalianos” and the temple of “Panagia Faneromeni” are situated.
Nea Koutali is a refugee settlement which was built in 1926 for the refugees from Asia Minor, who were casted away from the Koutali island of Propontida following the Greco-Turkish War of 1919-1922.
People from Koutali were great sponge divers and continued their craft at their new settlement, by leaving their print till this day since currently there is a sponge cleaning workshop, a cured product industry and a mussel crop unit.
Today at the “Museum of Navy Tradition and Sponge Diving” all the tradition and skill of the sponge divers is on display, along with the archaeological treasures that were collected from the bottom of the sea.
