Zoodochos Pigi of Kotsinas
Inside the once castle of Kotsinas, in the 15th century, there was a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, in place of which, today, is dominated by the Sacred Temple of the Zoodochos Pigi built in 1954.
You will easily notice that next to the entrance there is a small hole, the 64 steps of which lead to a cave just below the temple, where by arriving you will face the holy water, a source of fresh water with clean crystal water that took its present form in 1918.
Every year on Easter Friday, on the day of the Zoodochos Pigi celebration, pilgrims, and visitors from across the island come to receive blessing from the holy water and take part in the fair organized in the courtyard.
