Asprolimni is located right between Alyki and the north side of the Keros beach.
It ranges at just 500 acres but is just as significant as the lagoons of Alyki and Chortarolimni, which together compose a highly important wetland, protected by the “Natura 2000” network.
Asprolimni takes its name because of the high salt content, since during its desiccation, usually by the end of June, the only thing that remains on its surface is the white salt.
