Venizelika of Limnos are little delightful treats covered with sweet vanilla (hypovrychio) that comes in various colors and is stuffed with chocolate and finely grated almond.
Venizelika were used to welcome Eleftherios Venizelos on Limnos, who was so impressed by their special taste that he asked for more. They were named after Venizelos to honor him, since by that time they had no name.
